Wells Reserve • Mission- The Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve works to expand knowledge about coasts and estuaries, engage people in environmental learning, and involve communities in conserving natural resources, all with a goal of protecting and restoring coastal ecosystems around the Gulf of Maine.

Tips for Partnerships • Take meeting minutes with a clear understanding of ownership and deadlines • File sharing tools (ie: Dropbox) • Make the program equitable- share costs and staff time • Discuss each organization’s needs clearly and negotiate from there • Be willing to compromise • Understand and research potential partners • Understand each other’s work styles and ethics and make sure they’re compatible
