  1. Raising money for red nose day

  2. Francis Why raise money?C:\Documents and Settings\tgreen\Desktop

  3. Our Ideas • The school council has already met to begin to think of some ideas for us all to raise money for ‘Comic Relief’ • We have looked at three different ways of fundraising • Pay to take part • Sell your stuff • Get sponsored to raise cash

  4. Pay to take part • Asking staff, students and parents to pay a small donation to get involved in an activity is an easy way to bring the whole school together to raise money on Red Nose Day.

  5. Sell your stuff • Sure, it feels great to give, but let’s be honest, it feels even better when you get something back in return. Selling a few bits and bobs or doing some good deeds for a donation is an easy way to get everyone joining in.

  6. Get sponsored to raise cash • Think of a challenge you'd like to complete and collect sponsorship money from family and friends for accomplishing the mighty feat. It's a perfect chance for you to do something really amazing.

  7. What we thought • We have some ideas but need everyone’s thoughts in order to make some final decisions

  8. Pay to take part • We would like to wear something funny or different to school and pay to do so. • BUT you need to make the final decision out of three of the following ideas…… • Back to front • Weird • Funny

  9. As well as this ….. • We would like to make a ‘Joke book’ • If you know a joke (not a rude one!) simply write it down on a piece of paper with your name and class and give it to your teacher or a school council member, and for a small fee of 20p we will publish your joke in our online joke book on our school website

  10. Sell your stuff • As it was World book day last week we thought we could continue this theme. • If you have any books at home which you no longer need AND are in good condition please bring them from tomorrow and we will sell them on the afternoon of Friday 18th March (in the hall) to children and parents (about 20p per book)

  11. Get sponsored to raise money • We thought some of you might like to think of something you would find difficult to do for example • Give it up You could get sponsored to give something up for a day. Or even a week! • Don’t stop! Think of an activity you could get sponsored to do non-stop against the clock. • We have comic relief sponsor forms to help you get sponsors……available from your teacher from today onwards….

  12. So what do you have to do? • In your classes decide on the dressing up theme you would like out of • Back to front • Weird • funny • Write your favourite joke and pay 20p to have it published • Bring in books (in good condition) you no longer want to raise money by selling them. • Think of something you could get sponsored for and then collect a sponsor form from your teacher.

  13. So………. • GET THINKING!!!!!!! • AND DOING!!!!!
