Language Arts In Language Arts I think I have done: Fair Well Very Well Outstanding I think this because I complete all my work on or before time and have learned a lot from the end of fourth grade to now. One book I enjoyed in language arts this year was The Hobbit I liked this book because it is very exciting and has an old feel to it with goblins, dwarves, hobbits, wizards, elves, dragons, and orcs. One strategy I learned to make me a better reader was ask questions and reread. Have you improved as a reader this year? Why or Why not? I Have improved because I have learned many new strategies  My goal for the last trimester is to learn to read faster and comprehend more I plan to achieve it by practicing and relearning what I have already learned

  3. Writing In Writing I think I have done: Fair Well Very Well Outstanding This year I have written many different writing pieces. My favorite type of writing to do is a Narrative because I can write whatever I want and there are almost no restrictions. If I had to give someone advice on how to be a good writer it would be reread your work after you finish because most of the time you will find a mistake. The writing piece I would like to share with you is the Tiger Story The assignment was: If you could pick any animal to be for a day what would it be? And what would you do? I chose to share this piece with you because it was fun to write and I don’t exactly like writing My goal for next trimester is write better hooks.

  4. Math In Math I think I have done: Fair Well Very WellOutstanding I think this because I always finish before time is up and scarcely get anything wrong. Some strategies I learned in math this year was: That to find the total degrees in a polygon the formula was n-2*180 One thing I enjoyed in math this year was: Coordinate grid game Something I found difficult in math this year was: nothing.

Social Studies/Science In Social Studies I think I have done: Fair Well Very Well Outstanding I think this because I always get my work done and I enjoy it very much One thing I’ve accomplished in Social Studies this year that I want to share with you is The China Brochure. Explain the assignment: We had to create a brochure on Ancient China. In Science I think I have done: Fair Good Very Good  Outstanding I think this because I always get my work done and it is fun One thing I’ve accomplished in SCIENCE this year that I want to share with you is the Knex car project Explain the assignment: We made a knex car and had to make it move with any type of energy.

Qualities of a Learner B – beginning to approach the expectations of a 5th grade student A – approaching the expectations of a 5th grade students by sometimes demonstrating these qualities M – meeting these expectations of a 5th grade student by consistently and independently demonstrating these qualities E – exceeding these expectations of a 5th grade student
