By using various resources, technology can offer you an affordable way to appeal to the different learning styles of your students.
Find a Free Technology Based Resource: • On your laptop use the internet to find a technology based resources that students can use in your classroom such as: • An interactive online game • Free software disks • An educational video in your area of licensure • (NO YOUTUBE!)
Thesis: • We can, at little to no cost, bring technology, teaching, and learning resources into the classroom.
Before You Use Technology: • Before using internet resources with your students, check your districts policy on getting parent signatures. • It’s also important that you listen/watch entire clip, or play the entire game that you use with your students to ensure that it is appropriate for your students.
Importance of Using Technology • Change in student and teacher roles • Increased motivation and self-esteem • Technical skills • Accomplishment of more complex tasks • More collaboration with peers • Increased use of outside resources • Improved design skills/attention to audience
