  1. System Integration Test What: System wide demonstration of the DMAC capabilities we’ve been working on for ca.10 years. Why: Proof of concept that DMAC can be unifying element of IOOS; Essential component of system development. Who: Project team in place, additional involvement by RAs, DMAC ST, other NOS programs Outcome: Reports, communications material, software, repeatable procedures MoS: Clear notion of the things that work and don’t work in DMAC. Tests like this inform our future development. DMAC Steering Team Nov 2013

IOOS, and others, have been at this for some time. • 2002: Sys Dev Plan emphasizes data management as the unifying element of disparate systems • 2005: First DMAC Plan Published • 2007: IOOS PO begins funding Data Integration Framework pilot • 2010: DMAC Implementation plan and funding DMAC Steering Team Nov 2013
