How to read directions? • Look at the starting and end points. • Look at the question to see what you are looking for. • Draw out the route you are going to take.
Let’s try one: • How many miles do you travel on Houghton? • What direction do you turn onto Harrison? • How many miles do you drive in step 4? • How many total miles will you drive?
Another one to try: Directions from Fry’s to Walgreens 1. Take a right on to West Rita Rd. 1.7 mi 2. Take a right at North Nexus Rd. 0.2 mi 3. Turn right at Walgreens 244 ft. Total distance: 10,276 feet or 1.95 miles • What direction do you go on Rita Rd.? • What is the total distance traveled?
