Aims of the workshop 1. to understand the 'state of the art' in Future Internet research by reviewing current programmes in the USA, Europe and Asia; 2. to identify gaps and new opportunities in Future Internet research so that we can recommend new programme or project topics to appropriate bodies; 3. to discuss potential collaborative activities amongst programmes or projects in order to make the most of current research: these activities could include testbeds and workshops. The main output will be a short report accompanied by a set of presentation slides that result from workshop discussions around the three workshop aims.
Outline of timetable Wednesday 15th April am: introduction, problem space programme perspectives (USA, EC, Asia) pm: network essentials (naming/addressing, routing, mobility, …) network properties (security, resilience, performance, …) Thursday 16th April am: management, policy, economic, green (and other …) issues architecture (evolution vs revolution, virtualization, testbeds, …) pm: breakout sessions? social event Friday 17th April am: breakout sessions plenary session, summing up
