Information Address Venue The Meeting Room Hopefully you’ll have been able to secure a room that has plenty of space If the Information Address Presenter needs a lectern and perhaps a mike, have these in the centre front facing your guests who should be seated in theatre style rows with a walkway in the centre Guests sit in the front row and Lions at the back
Information Address Venue The Meeting Room Continued Display regalia, but DO NOT have a formal table at the front – display the flag set to one side in a room corner, display posters, photographs, press clippings, thank you letters in several locations throughout the room – place copies of the Australia Lion on the guests chairs, but DO NOT at this stage give them the summary handout of the Information Address
Information Address Venue Arrival of Guests On their arrival ensure each guest is hosted by a Lion – offer them a beverage such as orange juice, soft drink or one only glass of cask (keep the cost down) wine – Escort guests to the various displays and generally make them feel Comfortable – when everyone is taking their seat for the Information Address tell guests you’ll meet up with them over the tea/coffee/light supper
Information Address Venue Attendance & Dress of Lions Ensure a strong turn up of members – it’s also a good idea to have non Lion partners present – Lions should wear the club uniform or otherwise smart casual – wear both the Lion and member name badges – generally be casual rather than formal - DO NOT wear the Australian Lion’s Uniform
Information Meeting Venue Information Address Agenda President – Welcomes guests but DOES NOT speak about the Club – Introduces two well spoken Lions to present the Ethics & Objects – Introduces Presenter Presenter – Provides Information Address & asks guests to become members-hands out membership forms & address summary No Lion should speak until the presenter hands back to the President President – Thanks & invites everyone to supper
