Description of a Walkthrough • It’s a tool for school improvement • A process for giving and receiving non-threatening feedback from colleagues/ administrators • Snapshot of an instructional focus within a school • It is an informal process
A Walkthrough is not an….. • Formal Observation • Audit • Dog and Pony Show • Isolated Event • Invitation to discuss inappropriately or gossip • “Gotcha” opportunity for supervisors or peers
