Sunscreen Production Unit in Tanzania for Albinos' Health

Africa Direct, in partnership with Moshi Derma Training Centre and Hospital Ramón y Cajal, initiates a program to improve albino population's quality of life supported by Madrid Community. The project includes healthcare (skin cancer surgery, surgeon training, operating room equipment), educational grants, socio-economic development, sports, awareness, and setting up a sunscreen production unit to prevent skin cancer, protect albinos, and ensure affordability. The agreement signing in Moshi involves Hospital Ramón y Cajal, RDTC, Africa Direct, and Spanish labs Fridda Dorsch for cream formulation (all non-profit). Pharmacist and Africa Direct volunteer Mafalda Soto will oversee the project with Fridda Dorsch labs.
