Project Background • Pediatric standers provide upright mobility for children with certain types of disabilities, allowing the user to move and interact in a way that is more natural than a standard wheelchair, while also allowing the user to bear weight on their legs; a critical part of current physical therapy practices. • The ultimate end goal of this project is to produce a safe and repeatable motorized attachment for a pre-existing pediatric stander.
