Solar Wind 11 – SOHO 16June 12-17, 2005 Thomas Zurbuchen, U of MI Bernhard Fleck, ESA
Date and Time • Where? • Whistler, Canada, Westin Resort and Spa • When • June 12-1, 2005 • Who • Broad participation across solar and heliospheric physics.
Purpose • To assess the status of our understanding of the combined Sun-Heliosphere system. • To identify key challenges and disagreements in this field of research. • To look forward and discuss how, through the anticipated new observations and advanced theoretical models, breakthroughs can occur in this field.
Timeliness • There has been major progress through new observations or models. • This is the first Solar Wind conference since start of LWS it its current form. • This is the last Solar Wind conference before STEREO. • Most of the modern heliospheric questions/issues involve more than just the traditional heliospheric community.
