What is anti semitism??Anti Semitism (n) : – Deep hatred of the Jewish race……
Adolf Hitler • When the dictator came to power, people were forced to agree with his extreme and unfair views. • Hitler wrote a book named “Mein Kampf” or My Struggle which expresses his view….
“Mein kampf” stated that Hitler believed the Aryan race which consisted of pale skinned blonde haired, blue eyed people were the master race
He also felt that anyone who went against this race, especially the Jews, should be exterminated! This is exactly what he proceeded to do….
The final Solution…. Hitler believed in the final solution…… Which was the Total Elimination of all Jews!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In this audio clip we hear Hitler threatening the Jewish race“not the victory of Jewry, But the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe!”
The Nuremberg Laws.. The Nuremberg laws were Anti- Jewish laws that were introduced in 1935, which drastically changed the lives of Jewish people…
Nuremberg laws stripped Jews of their citizenship They were not allowed marry They had to wear a special Star of David around their arm at all times so they could be easily identified
Kristallnacht (Also known as Night of the Broken Glass. On the 9th of November 1938, Hitler ordered Jewish property in berlin to be burned. Many Jews were hurt and killed also.
During world war two Hitler put millions of Jews, handicapped people, homosexuals and any one else who went against the Aryan race in concentration camps. One such camp was Auschwitz…….
Between 1939 and 1945 Hitler tortured killed and laboured the Jews.. Over 6 million Jews died in the gas chambers or from starvation over working or weakness…..
When Jews entered the prison camps they were made give up all their possessions including wooden legs and crutches! there were also Nazis there to shave their heads and to brand them with a number….
What happened to Jews in prison camps..?? While at prison camps Jews went through daily torture. Living conditions were extremely poor as the beds were small hard and cramped, there was always one barrel of food to feed every body in the camp so only a few people got food. Sometimes the Nazi soldiers played cruel games which included stealing what little food starving prisoners were getting! Prisoners were forced to do pointless heavy labour. Many were lined up and beaten or shot for no reason… But for most prisoners at Auschwitz, there was only one fate……
Gas chambers were tiny buildings where hundreds of Jews at a time were crammed into and gassed to death. Even today you can see nail marks in the walls were terrified Jews tried to escape the gas.
Today Auschwitz is a museum where people can visit to see history and understand what Hitler put the Jews through.
