Liao, and Wayne Hsieh. • Contributes towards development and manufacturing of Sound Cards, Graphics Cards, Motherboards, Tablets, and Notebooks. • Best known for Motherboards • Started “Green ASUS” around 2000 • Has won many awards. • Trusted all over the world

  3. Meaning of ASUS Derived from the mythological Greek horse ‘Pegasus’ Symbolizes wisdom Takes great pride in their work and ‘soars’ to new heights 1

  4. Motherboards Designs for AMD and Intel High quality from low to high end Leading competitor in Motherboards Cutting-edge design 2

  5. Graphics Cards ASUS takes graphics cards manufactured by other companies and makes them better. Better and more efficient overclocking. Increased quality of graphics. Advanced drivers that began in 2001 with “Wall hacks”. 3

  6. Republic of Gamers Started up in 2006 Since they manufactured and helped develop computer components, they decided to build a complete laptop/personal computer that was entirely use for gaming. Also develops all different types of peripherals and accessories for gaming. 4

  7. Tablets Helped develop the Nexus 7 by Google in 2012. Helped develop Microsoft Windows 8 Tablet. In 2013, they released a Tablet that could be converted to a Windows 8, when used with a keyboard. Transformer Book Trio Known for: Eee Pad Transformer, Eee Pad Slider, Eee Slate, and Memo Pad 8. 5

  8. Laptops/Notebooks In 2007, they launched the Eee PC Netbook Since then ASUS has released many Laptops/Netbooks that are phenomenal. EeeBox PC is one of the first releases Ultrabooks have since been released and have had an excellent turn out. 6

  9. Green ASUS Began in 2000, because of the “Green Revolution”. Consists of four aspects: Green Manufacturing, Green Procurement, Green Marketing, and Green Sales. Created the first Lead and Halogen-free Motherboard. Created the first Halogen-free HD LED monitor. 7

  10. ASUS’s Awards Voted “Best Motherboard Brand” by Tom’s Hardware Guide for six consecutive years Energy Efficient Product Design at the 2011 ENERGY STAR Awards Ceremony, for their Halogen Free LED HD Monitor DIME Magazine 2008 Trend Award PC World’s Best Netbook PC Pro’s Hardware of the Year 8
