  2. You are outside waiting for your brother to finish his baseball game. You are really bored, but your iPod is out of battery power. What do you do? Hmmm…

  3. You put on your NanoSolar-Cell Vest, of course! Yes!

  4. What IS a NanoSolar-Cell Vest? • Contains flexible solar cells (made from tightly packed, nanosize semiconductor crystals) • Solar power gathered from the vest would be turned into electric currents

  5. What are the uses of a NanoSolar-Cell Vest? • You can wear your NanoSolar-Cell Vest whenever you want to run your electronic devices • Because if collects and turns it into electronic currents, you wouldn’t have to charge your Nintendo DS all the time!

  6. How would this help our society? • Let’s say you are lost in the woods and have absolutly NO contact with society. You cannot use your phone to call anyone, because it is out of battery power. What do you do? • With a NanoSolar-Cell Vest, you can call your parents.

  7. How would this help our society? (cont.) • When baking a cake for your dad’s birthday, you notice that you’re out of eggs. Your older sister drives you to the grocery store. When you step out of the car, you remember that you did not ask your mom what brand of eggs to buy. You would normally call your mom to ask, but your cell phone is out of battery power. What do you do? • With a NanoSolar-Cell Vest, you can still call your mom.
