  2. In Vitro Fertilization A wonderful achievement in the reproductive science, In Vitro Fertilization is the best treatment suggested for certain kinds of infertility treatments. It is the original test- tube baby technique where an egg is fertilized with the sperm in laboratory under certain conditions. The technique was specifically developed for females with blocked or damaged Fallopian Tubes and it remains a reason for this treatment these days.

  3. What does IVF treatment involve? The IV treatment basically consists of a sequence of procedures often called as “IVF treatment cycle”. Certain hormonal injections are used to stimulate the ovaries in order to produce several follicles. The follicles are collected as eggs which are then fertilized with processed sperm to create embryos. Once embryos are formed, healthy ones are transferred into the female’s womb for implantation or further pregnancy. Louise Brown was the first test tube baby born via In Vitro Fertilization in the year 1978. The treatment was completely natural form of IVF, developed by the physiologist, Robert G. Edwards and in 2010 he was awarded by the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
