So according to NTA, the UGC NET Exam eligibility criteria are as follows. • The basic Eligibility criteria for UGC NET Exam: • For General Category Candidates – 55% aggregate in master’s degree or Equivalent Degree • For ST/SC/OBC/ PWD/ Transgender Candidates - 50% aggregate in master’s degree • Ph.D. degree holders will be given relaxation of 5% aggregate marks if they have completed a master’s degree before September 19, 1991, for appearing in UGC NET Exam. • Candidates who are in their final year of their master’s program or those who are waiting for their final year results can appear for UGC NET 2019 exam.
