  1. MARKET LIVE:Sensex down 100 pts, Nifty below 11K; MMTC, STC tumble 15% Benchmark indices are trading flat with a negative bias in Tuesday's early morning trade.

  2. MARKETS NEWS 85 points, or 0.23 per cent, to 37,040 levels. » The S&P BSE Sensex dipped Axis Bank, HCL Tech, HDFC, ICICI Bank, and Tech Mahindra were the top laggards in the Sensex pack. The broader Nifty50 index breached the 11,000-mark and was hovering around 10,970 levels, down 30 points, or 0.27 per cent. Nifty sectoral indices were trading mixed. While Nifty Metal index gained 0.9 per cent, Nifty Financial Service index was down 0.45 per cent. In the broader market, the S&P BSE MidCap index jumped 40 points, or 0.3 per cent, to 13,670 levels, and the S&P BSE SmallCap index was ruling at 13,140 levels, up 46 points, or 0.35 per cent.
