Brent crude futures sank $4.47, or 6.5 per cent, to settle at $64.55 a barrel The S&P BSE Sensex gained 160 points, or 0.44 per cent, to 36,640 levels. Bajaj Finance, Tata Steel, State Bank of India, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Asian Paints were the top gainers in the Sensex pack. The broader Nifty50 index surged 45 points, or 0.4 per cent, to 10,860 levels. The Nifty sectoral indices, except three, were trading in the green. Nifty PSU Bank index gained the most 1 per cent while Nifty Realty and Nifty Fin Service indexes were both up 0.8 per cent. In the broader market, the S&P BSE Mid Cap index was ruling at 13,440 levels, up 54 points, or 0.4 per cent, and the S&P BSE Small Cap index was hovering around 12,920 levels, up 70 points, or 0.54 per cent.
