HMA CAR RENTAL INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR BUSINESS TRAVEL • North America Honda Travel group uses its volume to negotiate contracts with companies such as Hertz and Avis. Hertz and Avis are the two preferred car rental suppliers for Honda. • There are two kinds of insurances that are included in Honda’s rental price when renting in the United States. • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and • Liability Damage Waiver (LDW) • Coverage is included in Canada with Hertz only. • International Countries with mandatoryLDW insurance coverage. • Austria > Belgium > Cyprus > Denmark > Finland > France • Germany > Greece > Ireland > Israel > Italy > Luxembourg • Monaco > Morocco > Poland > Norway > Portugal > Netherlands • Russia > Spain > Sweden > Turkey > U.K. > Switzerland
HMA RENTAL CAR PERFOMANCE AND GUIDELINES – 81Ki • HMA associates are urged to use our preferred suppliers, Hertz and Avis while on business travel. This is important because it allows travelers tracking through the People Tracker System incase of any disaster or emergency. • All car rentals should be arranged utilizing World Travel BTI or Honda On-line Travel (H.O.T.) to ensure the CompanyCD account number is on the rental agreement. Without this number, rentals are not covered forCDW or LDW insurance. • In the event an associate requires renting a vehicle without a reservation, please be sure to inform the rental agent that you are traveling on Honda company business. • Associates are advised to confirm coverage with the local rental location upon receipt of rental agreement (some franchise locations do not participate in this program). • Associates traveling to a location that is not served by either of these suppliers, or if are traveling internationally, are advised to purchase CDW and LDW.
LOSSES AND ACCIDENT GUIDELINES ON HMA CAR RENTALS • Personal rentals are not covered under these agreements or through our corporate self-insurance program. • The corporate self-insurance program does not cover loss of personal effects while traveling on business or pleasure. As with all travel, please ensure that business and personal materials are properly secured at all times. • In the event of an accident associates are advised to; > Call the local police to obtain a Police Report > Call the Car Rental Company to obtain transportation (Number will be on rental agreement) > Call on-site travel agent this will initiate insurance coverage process (Number should be obtained from the itinerary) • Associates are required to report accidents and/or damage to the rental car company upon returning the vehicle. • If it is determined that the associate was under the influence while driving, the insurance will not cover any damages.
