  3. Welcome! Today is Wednesday, April 10th, 2019 I can identify some of the most important features of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s life. What were some important literary contributions F. Scott Fitzgerald made in his lifetime? Homework: read “Winter Dreams” pages 670-677 (parts I-III)

  6. Follow along on page 672 near the bottom: “Well? The caddy master turned to Dexter…” all the way to, “Dexter was unconsciously dictated to by his winter dreams” (Fitzgerald 672).

With a partner, respond to the following in your notes: • Why did Dexter receive a strong emotional shock? • Why would this perturbation require a violent and immediate outlet? • What does Fitzgerald mean by, “Dexter was unconsciously dictated to by his winter dreams”? What could the, “winter dreams” be?
