Systematics of B(E2) Value Measurements for Nuclear Transitions from Valence Maximum to N=116

This study aims to measure the B(E2) values for transitions from the valence maximum to triaxial favored number at N=116 in specific cases of dysprosium, ytterbium, tungsten, osmium isotopes, employing Fast RISING with CATE. The experiment includes primary beams of 152Sm, 176Yb, 186W, 197Au, and 198Pt on various targets.

  1. Aims: Measure B(E2) value (systematics) for 0+→2+1 and 2+1→2+2 from the valence maximum (17066Dy104) to the triaxial ‘favoured number at N=116’ Specific cases: B(E2:0+→2+) 164,166,168,170Dy (Eg ~ 80 keV) B(E2:0+ →2+) 176,178,180Yb (Eg ~80 keV) B(E2: 0+→2+1) 186,188,190,192W (Eg =100,144,207,218 keV) B(E2: 0+ →2+1) 192,194,196Os (Eg =206, 219, 300 keV)
