  3. Blackboard and Moodle Updates *Schools that want to use Blackboard after June 2012 will have to pay for their own user licenses. Wayne RESA will broker the licenses at the lowest possible rate (rate unknown at the moment). *Continue supporting Moodle (currently on 1.9) – New Moodle coming out March 2012 *Assist districts that want to transition from Bb to Moodle -Timeframe: March through May 2012 -Onsite support will be provided based on district request – START planning now to set up a transition plan for your district.

MDE • Oct. 6, 2011 – Technology and Curriculum statewide meeting • Seat Time Waivers • Statewide GenNET STW – available to all schools and PSAs through their ISD/RESA • Your own STW • Applications for first semester were due by Sept. 15 • Application process open for second semester • Details can be found at techplan.org

  5. Michigan Online Courses (purchased by GISD through MDE grant money) • 33 MMC courses available in Bb & Moodle. • Educators need to go through PD before getting teacher access to the courses
