  2. The Family of Hatshepsut • Hatshepsut was born into a family with royal parents • She was the daughter of Thutmose II and Aahmes • Her father died • Her brothers died • She was up to take the throne

  3. Time Period • Hatshepsut was born in the 18th dynasty. This dynasty was also referred to as the new kingdom. Hatshepsut ruled from about 1479 to about 1458 BC

  4. Dates Lived/Reigned • Hatshepsut reigned as a pharaoh from 1479 to 1458. Hatshepsut was born in the 15th century and died in 1458 BC

  5. Achievements • Well Hatshepsut was a female and so she faced people not believing she could do things as a man could. So often times she dressed like a man to show the people that she was going to work like a man to make Egypt a better place. She even wore man headdresses. She was a master politician and an elegant states women

  6. Additional Information • Hatshepsut married her half brother • She created a successful temple in the Valley of Kings • In all queen Hatshepsut had accomplished what no other women had done before!
