  6. History In the 1950‘s and 1960‘s there was no internet yet. In the past we really had to share information, especially in Universities, we had to share a lot of research information with each other. Later on the internet was invented. Internet made the sharing of information faster and more information was able to reach lots of different people in the world in a very short time. In 1995 a web browser called Java applet made chatting possible by creating a new technology that made the exchange of information faster and more exciting. From that time chat rooms and internet caffes were created to allow people to chat with other people from all over the world.

  7. Influence of chatting The advantages of chatting are : • It is fun • It is easier and faster to have short contacts from all over the world • It is cheaper than telephone calls or letters • The disadvantages are : • Too many people waste a lot of their time to chat about silly things instead of sharing useful information. • When people stay for a long time on their computer or mobile phones to chat, this is unhealthy. Scientists have found out that there is a lot of radiation from computers and mobile telephones than can affect the eyes and ears and can also cause brain tumours (a kind of cancer).

  8. Conclusion • Internet and mobile telephone chatting is a good way to exchange a lot of information very quickly with people all over the world but we must be carefull not to do too much of chatting because we waste time and also it is not good for health because of the radiation.

  9. The End • I hope you learnt about new things in my presentation! • Bye
