  1. ITX 4-Gas Detector Quick Reference Guide

  2. Diffusion Mode The ITX 4-Gas does NOT have a constant pump. This requires longer readings for the environment in question. O2 > 10 sec. 3-Gas > 2 min. Spec Summary:

  3. INTRO

  4. OPERATIONS

  5. MODES

  6. ALARMS

  7. ShortTermExposureLimit: Concentration to which workers can be exposed continuously for a short period of time (~15-30 min.) without suffering from: 1. irritation 2. chronic or irreversible tissue damage 3. narcosis of sufficient degree to increase the likelihood of accidental injury, impair self-rescue or materially reduce work efficiency. Time Weighted Average: The average exposure over a specified period of time, usually a nominal eight hours. Workers can be exposed to a maximum of four STEL periods per 8 hour shift, with at least 60 minutes between exposure periods. ITX 4 GAS CALIBRATION POINTS

  8. Summary • Always start-up/calibrate the ITX 4 Gas outside in a clean environment • For accurate readings the ITX 4 Gas must be in the sample atmosphere for: O2 > 10 sec. 3-Gas > 2 min. • Zero the sensors prior to use for accurate data-logging intervals.
