What MCA is Like Football is considered a religion. Alcohol is water. There is a bar and church on every street corner. Loud truck exhausts are our alarm clocks in the morning. The “F” word is our noun, adjective, and verb. Coal is the main source of heat used to warm our homes.(hence coal region)
Our Pride and Joy: MCA Red Tornadoes Football! MCA is the winningest team in PIAA history. With a total of 778 wins, they are ranked 4th in the nation for most wins. 12 PIAA State Titles.
The Coal BucketGame One of our oldest annual traditions. MCA vs. Shamokin Area Winner receives the Coal Bucket and bragging rights until next year. The Coal Bucket has stayed with MCA for the past 16 years.

Positives about MCA Not much crime (except for drug busts) Relatively quiet Welcoming community The most loyal and best friends you will ever have You never have trouble finding a bar or a church for mass on Sunday
Negatives about MCA Not that much to do If you wanted to do something, you would most likely have to leave town The population consists of a lot of the elderly This is due to the amount of people who like to retire in the area
