PLANTS In the Carpathian foothills, forests occupy territories discontinuous, alternating with orchards or agricultural crops defrisari.In component installed here after their meeting in mixture with beech specimens stejarul.Vegetatia our area is typical steppe with brumariu oak groves and oak.

  4. WILDLIFE shows a great wealth of forms, often with high populations of forest on the outskirts animals.We meet in the forest near the town: wolf, fox, deer,boar. The birds are the woodpeckers, blackbird, owl, forest-steppe is raven.Arealul common rodents: gopher, hamster, rabbits.

  7. Local Plants and Animals from INDIANAPOLIS Some animals we see often are deer, raccoons, birds, foxes, and squirrels. Our state bird is the cardinal. Some plants we see a lot are daisies, roses, oak trees, maple trees, pine trees, and cottonwood trees. Our state flower is the peony.

  8. Tulip TreeIndiana’s state tree is the tulip tree, a member of the magnolia family. The tulip tree can reach the height of 100 ft. or more, and matures very quickly. It has a very straight trunk measuring 2 to 4 feet in diameter. It is a valued timber species as well as being a forest giant. When Abe Lincoln (former U.S. president) cut logs for his cabin, the logs were probably from a tulip tree. Daniel Boone most of the time used the wood to build canoes. I think the tulip tree is a very cool tree.
