Originally from Springfield, Illinois, Patrick Weichert received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Union Institute in 1988. He now works with veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, and anxiety. His passion for the veteran community stems from his own service in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, during which he was twice wounded and over time became totally disabled, his son a Navy Corpsman in the Persian Gulf War, and his father’s service during World War II.

Following wounds and exposure to Agent Orange sustained during his service, he was declared completely disabled. He now works on a limited basis as a clinical psychologist, providing examinations for veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and depression. Additionally, he rescues and trains Border Collies and Siberian Huskies.
