Patrick Weichert - Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Specialist

Originally from Springfield, Illinois, Patrick Weichert received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Union Institute in 1988. He now works with veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, and anxiety. His passion for the veteran community stems from his own service in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, during which he was twice wounded and over time became totally disabled, his son a Navy Corpsman in the Persian Gulf War, and his father’s service during World War II.

Patrick Weichert - Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Specialist Patrick Weichert is a clinical psychologist and Vietnam veteran specializing in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), forensics, depression, anxiety, and child and youth problems. He works with veterans suffering from PTSD and advises them on receiving Veteran Affairs (VA) compensation for their injuries. Originally from Springfield, Illinois, he enjoys studying World War II history, traveling, woodworking, watching movies, and writing poetry. Patrick Weichert is a clinical psychologist who works with veterans on a limited basis to assist with examinations and nexus letters for Veteran Affairs (VA) compensation. Being a totally disabled veteran himself, he understands the difficulties and confusion associated with Veteran benefits for mental health issues.

  4. Patrick Weichert - Wounded in Action Springfield, Illinois native Patrick Weichert was a member of the Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marines during the Vietnam War. Following wounds and exposure to Agent Orange sustained during his service, he was declared completely disabled. He now works on a limited basis as a clinical psychologist, providing examinations for veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and depression. Additionally, he rescues and trains Border Collies and Siberian Huskies.
