  2. OGM: Objectives • Identify performance problems within the Grid and hence activate of reactive procedures, thereby enhancing the robustness and reliability of a Grid • Enhanced node selection for service deployment, job submission etc. • Enhanced service brokering

  4. OGM: Components • Grid Manager Agent (GMA) for deployment in the OMII container or alongside it on the resources • Grid Manager Service (GMS) to enhance GRIMORIES registry capabilities • Grid Manager lightweight web based UI to provide a real-time view of a Grid system

Platforms Supported Windows Linux Solaris GMA on multiple resources across administrative domains registering resource information securely to a GMS

GMS VO 1 GMA GMA Service A Service B Resource A Resource B GMS VO 2 Shared Resources • GMA can register with many GMS services across multiple virtual organisations allowing the resources to be shared between multiple organisations • Organisations have complete control over what resources, if any, they wish to share with other organisations, forming dynamic virtual organisations Resource A registers with both VO1 & VO2. Resource B registers with VO1 only.
