The dolphin Island sea lab was very interesting. It was cool to listen to the animals that people had caught there at Dolphin Island. We learned how the animals were endangered because pollution and chemicals in the ocean that went into Mobile Bay. Most of the animals that were dying because of just putting water bottles on the side of the rode. Little things that you don’t think about can cause something really BIG!!!
The Marsh was very fun even if you didn’t get in it like me. If you were at the marsh you would see a lot of little hermit crabs. The Marsh is surrounded by tall needle grass. When you were in the marsh you would get stuck in the mud it would be so deep. That’s how the animals survive. In the summer the animals will go into grass and hide from there predator. That keeps them camouflage and keeps them SAFE!
Touch squid!!!!!! This is the squids eyes!!! This is the squids eggs! This part tells if it is a boy or a girl!!!
The touch squid was absolutely my favorite be far. Whenever you go in the lab you have a partner. One person holds the squid and the other one cuts it, it was so cool. You know the squid is a boy or a girl when you cut it open and see the yellow thing on there body. If it is giggly and those are the baby’s inside her. Above that is the ink carrier. When you cut that open you see all the black stuff and that’s the ink. They have that into spray at there predators that are trying to eat them. This was soo FUN!!!!!!!!!!
