  1. Follow instructions EXACTLY as they are written. • Providing a different email address or password will result in you possibly not being able to login in the future. • Providing the incorrect Student ID # means your academic information will not populate into the program. • Go to platform.majorclarity.com • Click 'sign up' • Click 'student sign up' • Enter all fields: • First & last name • Email– use the following formula:f.last.2345@rcs.k12.va.us • first initial.lastname.last4 digits of student ID@rcs.k12.va.us • Password: Glenvar1 • Student ID number - must be FULL ID number (LUNCH Number) • Correct school • Graduation Year • Click 'sign up' at the bottom!

Major Clarity Instructions • Take the Assessments – answer honestly! • Will give results according to Holland Code • Six personality types: • Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising and Conventional • You can click blue “?” for more info on that personality type • Click Continue

  3. Select a Career Cluster that you would like to explore (use highest “Fit Score” to start or search a career) • “Do” activities • “Connect” – watch the videos • “Careers for ____” – you select the level of education you realistically want to obtain and explore careers based on that information. • Explore careers with various levels of education • Click to add career to your portfolio if it is something that interests you • The more you do and explore, the more accurate your results will become!

  4. “Explore Pathway” (or “Your Pathway”) • Select Pathway of your choice. If yours does not exist, then you will select Advanced Studies or Standard – updates coming soon! • Enter current classes (11th grade) and classes you PLAN to take as a Senior • Pay attention to what is required for your Diploma type or Career Pathway when selecting courses • “Edit Profile” • Enter your personal email address under Secondary Email. Remember to SAVE! • Confirm parent email is correct

  5. View “YourCareer Plan” • Click “Career Goals” and fill in your Career Goals • Click “Education Goals” and fill in your Diploma Type and other school info • Click “View Career Plan” • Review and sign electronically • Parents will be emailed a copy to review and sign electronically. • Use this as a tool throughout high school and in the college or career search process. The goal is that you are able to select a career that fits you!
