Bio Gavin Michael Booth is the President of Windsor-based MimeticEntertainment and works as a writer, director and producer in the film and entertainment industry.   His upcoming film project Cheer For Your Life was picked up for worldwide distribution and will be produced by Rob Merilees, producer of Oscar winner Capote and hits such as Just Friends

3. Gavin is currently represented as a writer and director by manager Daniel Ortega at Principato- Young in LA (Gerard Butler, Judy Greer, Jim Carrey).

4. Music Work Booth has worked with some of the top entertainers in the music industry including DVD / Videography projects for Eminem’s D-12, Third Eye Blind, The Tea Party, Our Lady Peace, Vanessa Carlton and The Afters.

10. THESIS Your THESIS statement is the most important sentence in your essay. In ONE SENTENCE, the reader should be able to tell your topic and your main arguments/proof. *It is ALWAYS the last sentence of the Introductory paragraph. EXAMPLE PAPER: Sample MLA paper

11. How effective are these thesis statements?(can you tell topic and points just by this sentence?) Racism is bad because people should not hate one another. Living in the city has advantages such as being close to bus routes, close to work, and there is always something going on. However, it is expensive. The Bureau of Land Management needs to institute a better policy when it comes to the wild horses out West. Living in an apartment has many advantages.

12. How effective are these thesis statements?(can you tell topic and points just by this sentence?) There are many reasons we need to limit hate speech. I think we need to limit hate speech because it causes unnecessary violence, it is teaching next generations that hate is okay, and words can be more powerful than people realize. Among the many reasons we need to limit hate speech the most compelling ones all refer to our history of discrimination and prejudice, and it is, ultimately, for the purpose of trying to repair our troubled racial society that we need hate speech legislation.

Body Paragraph 1: Topic Sentence Paragraph 1, start with a topic sentence that clearly restates the topic and states your first argument. *Your topic sentence will relate to the topic of the entire essay: E.g. For example, a survey taken by the Government of Canada found that….This shows that… This connects to the text by…Therefore…

15. Body Paragraph 2 and 3 Repeat the same steps from paragraph 1 for paragraph 2 and 3 now. EACH BODY PARAGRAPH INCLUDES: • Topic Sentence • At least 1 reference to an outside source and explained • At least 1 quote from the play and explained • Concluding Sentence

16. Paragraph 5: Conclusion Begin a new paragraph by starting a new sentence and indenting. E.g. Therefore video games do affect teenagers’ lives negatively as they lead to violent behaviour, (argument 2), and (argument 3). Remember: • A conclusion merely restates your three main arguments and Does NOT add any new information.
