  3. Ján Adam Rayman • He was born on 23.April 1690 and he died on 23. April 1770 in Prešov. • Doctor and pharmacist • Evanjelic College - medicine • 7 children • In 1720 he executed vaccination against sheep pox. • Street in Prešov, departmental hospital J. A. Rayamana, private health center Reimanus and Grammar-school J. A. Rayamana.

  4. Jonáš Záborský • 3. February 1812 in Záborie - 23. January 1876 in Župčany • Slovak lowernobleman and writer. • Author of tales, epigrams, satirical poems, historical dramas, comedies and stories. • Evanjelic College in Prešov and Halle. • 1840 became a parson. • Jonáš Záborský Theatre - was opened on 30. January 1944.

Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav • Second February 1849 in Vyšný Kubín and he died 8th November 1921 in Dolný Kubín. • Writer, dramatist, translater and lawyer. • Very good results in school. • Hungarian Grammar-school, In Prešov he studied on Faculty of Law. • Bloody sonnets, Lunch and Dinner, Christmas, Education and so one.

  6. Alexander (Vasilovich) Duchnovič • 24.April 1803 in Topoľa, 30. March1865 in Prešov • Hungarian school in Uzghorod, philosophy at an academy in Košice. • Priest, poet, writer, pedagogue • He wrote in the Ruthenian, Russian, and Hungarian languages. • Worked as an archivist and a teacher. • National Ukraine Theatre - was opened on 30. January 1944.

  7. Jozef Gregor Tajovský • He was born on 18. November 1874 in Tajov and he died on 20 May 1940 in Bratislava. • Writer, teacher, politician and clerk. • His wife was Hana Gregorová. • He wrote mainly story, drama and novels and political articles. • The theatre in Zvolen,Elementary school in Senec, memorial house in Tajov and Grammar - school in Banská Bystrica,. • Very favourite writer.
