  4. History of Established Partnerships • Annual State Team Forum onsite meeting • Share about state level initiatives and issues • Create solutions and influence policy • Return home and continue to meet regularly within own state

  5. History of Established Partnerships • NATTAP : Network of Autism Training and Technical Assistance Programs • Informally meeting together for approximately past 20 years to network and share processes and materials to further build capacity for individuals with ASD

  6. History of Established Partnerships • Founded in 1965 • Leading grassroots autism organization • Chapters in almost every state connecting families together

  7. History of Established Partnerships • Established National Community of Practice on ASD in 2008 • Common place to share information and deploy resources

  8. Work of the Community • Sharedwork.org • Posting information and sending out announcements to community • State Teams utilizing for individual state work

  9. Work of the Community • Development of the Autism Collection • Utilize national meetings to gather stakeholders • Disseminate materials through established networks

  10. Autism Collection • First section • Written in August 2009 • Topic areas: • Overview of ASD Characteristics • Overview of Interventions • Posted to IDEA Partnership in April 2010 in conjunction with Autism Awareness month • Received 29,000 hits in April

  11. Autism Collection • Second section • Written at Autism Society Conference Summer 2010 • Topic areas: • Assessment for Eligibility Determination • Assessment for Programming • Recently posted to IDEA Partnership • www.ideapartnership.org

  12. Autism Collection • Third section • Written at the OCALI Conference November 2010 • Topic areas: • Social Emotional Learning • Functional Behavior Assessment • Currently in final stage of edits • Soon to be sent to OSEP for vetting
