2. Goal An approach to Fidelity that is appropriate to the particular stage of program development of our Parent Mentoring Intervention and is consistent with PM’s empowerment orientation
3. Stage of PM’s Program Development Most of the critical components are reasonably well specified- e.g. strengths-based, recovery focused, coordinated services, culturally responsive
Key features need development- what is a ‘Mentor’, relationship as conduit for change, child welfare context
4. Approach to Fidelity Objectives:
Encourage thoughtful adherence to program model
Measure critical components and document adaptations
Inform model development/build program theory
Facilitate learning (program staff/researchers)
Reinforce empowerment orientation of the program model
