  1. Installation Guide For Comodo Mobile Device Management

  2. Install Comodo Mobile Device Manager After agreeing to the end user license, you will be asked to choose which type of setup you would like to deploy:

  3. Install Comodo Mobile Device Manager • Typical – Installs all components, CMDM frontend, backend and PostgreSQL to the default location C:Comodo > CMDM

  4. Install Comodo Mobile Device Manager • Custom – Enables you to choose the components that are to be installed and also helps to modify the installation path if required. The frontend could be installed on one server and the backend on the other. If you choose to do this, then you will need to run the CMDM setup file on both servers and copy the appropriate certificate(s) over. The remainder of this section presumes that you have selected the 'Typical' option. Click 'Next' to proceed to backend configuration.

  5. Install Comodo Mobile Device Manager • Host – This is the URL that hosts the CMDM frontend. This should match the URL in the certificate (or one of the certificates) you applied for in step 2. If you are going to use a self-signed certificate, then enter the public IP of the server. • Enter the port number in the Port field. Default = 443 • Private keys - Specify the location as to where you have saved the frontend and backend certificates' private keys Click 'Next', once you have confirmed on your choices. Frontend configuration and SSL certificate upload is next:

  6. Install Comodo Mobile Device Manager • Use self-signed certificates – Select this option if you have not obtained trusted SSL certificates and want to use the application for trial purpose. Click on the 'Generate certificates' option after selecting the 'Use self-signed certificates' checkbox. • Click 'Next' to confirm your choices. • Installation will commence after you click 'Install'. Click on the 'Back' option, if you wish to review your installation settings.

  7. Install Comodo Mobile Device Manager To activate the CMDM license, open the application through the internet browser (Preferably Chrome or Comodo Dragon) and enter your 'frontend' URL in the address bar.
