Automatic Weather Station • Sensors mounted on 4m Mast • Installed near each end of runways • Connected to a Data logger • Met data is transmitted to Met Section via a UHF Radio link (450-470 MHz) • TX through directional Yagi Antenna • Frequency of data update for winds is 5 sec & for temperature is 1 min • Powered by Solar panel / Mains rechargeable batteries • Set of walkie-talkie for communication

Specification- Accuracy : + 0.2 hPa Range : 600 to 1100 hPa Operating temperature : - 40 to 60 degree Celsius Torrodial Transformer The heating of wind sensors at subzero temperature is achieved using a TORRODIAL transformer It is mounted Inside the battery enclosure and provide 24 AC supply to wind sensor.
