Luminosity Monitor MWPCs, commissioning. A.Kiselev OLYMPUS Collaboration Meeting DESY, Hamburg, 27.06.2011
Equipment status • First two chambers tested in DORIS test run in February • Two more chambers checked in test beam 22 in May-June • Last two chambers to be delivered to DESY on July,3 … • … and tested in DORIS hall on July,4-5 • Survey and final mounting in experiment on July,6-7 • Missing CROS3 on-board electronics to be in HH on July,4 see extensive report to the April’2011 meeting see short summary report to this meeting
Equipment status, continued • Gas system will be finished next week • Low voltage: use Rome modules • High voltage: hope to use OLYMPUS spares • Patch panels, cabling, trays, etc: two coming weeks • Electronics hut installation: next week • CROS3 readout: tested in DORIS and test beam 22 runs • Integration in Bonn DAQ: completed in DORIS test run
Test installation in OLYMPUS • MWPCs fit comfortable to the support rails • (Almost) no conflict with the drift chambers
MWPC design (April’2011 slide) CROS3 readout for the final setup • require design modifications! • everything seems to fit together will check in May • with CROS3 have more freedom to vary Z-positions … • … but also there are more problems with the cables fine tuning in progress
Test installation in OLYMPUS • Comfortable clearance to the toroid coils • Yet space will become very busy after on-board electronics and cabling installation
Summary • Test installation in OLYMPUS was successful • Most part of equipment is delivered to DESY and checked • Remaining part will be in HH in a week from now • Full installation will require one more week
