How it is made • The nulla nulla was made with timber and you carved it into the shape. Some nulla nullas had a stone head attached. They were about 1 metre in length.
How is it used • The nulla nulla is used by holding it in one of your hands then bashing the animal or person over the head to knock it out or kill it
What changes were made to improve or modify it • The nulla nulla has changed over time new heads have been made some nulla nullas now have a flat heads or heads made just to kill the animal.
Where there different designs • Yes there were a few different designs I only know of one which is the knob headed design.
Who used them • Aboriginal people used them in battle. There is such thing of when there was a battle between two tribs they would select a person to get rid of all there wepons except a shield and a nulla nulla.
How important was it to the traditonal Aboriginal people • By most of my information it was not the most important tool for traditional people but it was a great battle tool.
Who uses them today • Some people still use them today but only in certain places. There are no places that I know of that are around our area.
Interesting facts • Did you know that there were designs on some of the nulla nulla that had the emu and kangaroo. Aborigines burnt a line in the head of the nulla nulla.
Bibliography • The sites we went on were Wikipedia and indigenous Australians. They gave us all the information.
