What is the goal of the NHS? 1. To reduce the transmission of HIV and other STI’s 2. Reduce the impact of HIV and STI’s on people, families and communities.
Priority area 1: Priority area 2: Priority area 3: Prevention Counselling, testing, treatment, care & support Systems strengthening Priority Area Goals: each priority has a set of goals For example, the only goal for prevention is To reduce the transmission of HIV and STI’s in PNG using a combination of prevention approaches. Strategic priority Each priority area has several strategic priorities. What does the NHS mean for the Law & justice sector? The NHS aims to improve the implementation of laws that protect human rights such as the HAMP Act. It has strategic objectives about how the law and justice sector can protect vulnerable people from HIV such as prisoners or youths who are in trouble with the law. In the NHS, 31 strategic objectives and 60 major activity areas list the Law and Justice Sector as one of the key implementers.

Which activities and targets are there for your chosen cluster/s? Which of these suggested activities is your organisation currently working on? Which of these suggested activities is your organisation planning to implement in the future? When? Are there any other activities that are not listed here that your organisation would like to or are planning to implement to achieve the strategic objective/s identified?
