PBL for the 21st Century As a participant, you will receive guidance on how to: Begin using authentic learning tasks that have real audiences Use teaching and learning strategies that require students to take more responsibility for their learning and frequently use technology as a tool for learning Involve students in long-term, active learning projects that use technology as a tool Begin to create new ways to assess student work
PBL for the 21st Century District peer coaches have been trained by the Microsoft Peer Coaching Program. As your coach, they will: Help you determine an area of your curriculum for technology integration Demonstrate lessons that integrate technology Discuss with the participating teacher on what worked, what didn’t, and how a lesson or activity might be modified in the future to be more effective Provide instruction on project-based learning strategies Assist with developing authentic assessments
