Brahman • Brahmin were usually Priests or rulers.
Kshatriya • The Kshatriya Caste were warriors.
Vaishya • Vaishya were merchants and vendors. They lived like normal people.
Sudra • Sudra were unskilled workers, or servants.
Untouchables • The Untouchables were treated unfairly, and they couldn’t be touched, or seen by anyone.
Caste System Rules Brahmans could only eat vegetables Women could not be in the Kshatriya class You couldn’t be friends with somebody of a different class
Why the Caste System was made • The Aryans came to India and said “You will all be put into groups by jobs” They were put into groups because the Aryans wanted to rule India
How the Indians were put into each Caste • They were born into it and separated by jobs, and their parents.
