From Whom ? With Whom ? CSOA RSRA DARK NCSL/WAGS Found on the “Profile” Tab – then under the “Sharing” Sub-Tab
Profile Tab – Sharing sub-tab 1st Option – “Share What” Share This Game Info Group Level Site Time • Allows you to select the specific details to display • “Group” is who assigned it • Level, Site, & Time - self explanatory • Choose any, all, or none • Assignor(s) can’t control the options you select • Assignor(s) get to see your selection(s) if you allow it – 3rd Option
Profile Tab - Sharing sub-tab 2nd Option – “From Whom” From These Groups CSOA RSRA DARK NCSL/WAGS • You pick who’s data is going to be displayed on the Virtual Master Schedule • Again your option, to select any, all, or none • Assignor will only see your selection if you allow it – see 3rd Option
Profile Tab - Sharing sub-tab 3rd Option – “With Whom” With Assignors From CSOA RSRA DARK NCSL/WAGS • This allows you to pick who’s going to see the data from Options 1 & 2 • Again, you can select any, all, or none • Only those selected will see what data from other Assignors you want them to see • QUESTIONS????
“Blocks” - Tab • You are now able to add “Notes” to any Block(s) you set • Check “Add Notes” under “Action” in the left column on the Blocks Page • Then under “Action” select the type of Block you want to add • You can then either select a “Time” or “Date” range or a specific day on the calendar • In the box that appears, type your “Note”, then “Save” it • Now when you or an assignor selects the blocked date, the Note will appear at the bottom of the screen • All the Blocks and Notes appear for the checked “Groups” that appear at the top of the left-hand column on the Blocks Page
Changes to Scheduling • ARBITER has implemented these changes in recognition that you are an “independent contractor” • Prior affect: a posted assignment– in essence “blocked” you from other assignors • Assignor’s modus operandi -- “Who was first to schedule” • Referee’s MO – “Job shop games” • Current affect: With the “Options” selected, all assignors will be able to add assignments • Assignors – Intelligent scheduling (Heavy days – skill mix) • Referees - More opportunities – timely decisions
Scheduling Changes -What Happens ?? • Overlapping game assignments can be posted • Assignments are open until you accept one • Once accepted ARBITER blocks access to the other games • Now even though you have an “accepted” game • other assignors are allowed to add games • If conflicting it shows up outlined in red • Arbiter won’t allow you change assignments that conflict without contacting the original assignor • Other assignors can’t clear an accepted assignment
CSOA Rules of the Road Philosophical Discussion • What CSOA & Other Assignors Need • Updated Availability – Check often & Timely • Earliest possible acceptance decisions • Policy - We’re Implementing and Why • Need to accommodate you, while protecting the schools • If you’re not accepting games, you may lose them • If switching occurs too often – opportunities won’t be made available • Can’t/Won’t accommodate switches on accepted CSOA games on published heavy days • Can’t/Won’t accommodate switches on accepted CSOA games within 48 hours of game date • What CSOA needs you to do!!!
