Some Conclusions • THEMIS sees quasi-periodic magnetic oscillations, associated with oscillatory flow • Low-latitude, flank Pi2 at 0910, 0918, 0928 and 0938 UT associated with auroral intensifications and LANL dispersionless injections at dawn flank. • Some disagreement with timing; awaiting digital 210 data. • Event possibly started with a brief northward turning of the IMF. • Did this cause a quasi-periodic instability to develop in the tail? • Final intensification (substorm) occurred further west, towards midnight, and penetrated to GOES-11
