Hazard Mitigation Grant Program • Currently all funds available to NH under HMGP have been obligated or applied for.

Flood Related Projects • Property acquisition and structure demolition • Property acquisition and structure relocation • Structure Elevation • Dry Flood proofing of historic residential structures
Acquisition in NH-Conway 17 Homes were acquired by the Town of Conway using Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Funds following Hurricane Irene in 2011

Types of Mitigation Projects and Funding-Flood Mitigation Assistance • Must be insured with NFIP • FMA 2019 will be available around August 2019
Eligible Flood Mitigation Assistance Projects FMA’2010 Londonderry, NH Brookview Drive Elevation Project

Cost-Effectiveness and Cost Review • Pre-Determined benefits: • Acquisition $276,000 • Elevation:$175,000
EHP Review and Compliance • Must comply with all EHP laws and with 44 CFR Part 10
Floodplain Management and Protection of Wetlands • If the floodplain or wetland is the only practicable location, the Applicant/Sub-applicant must avoid or minimize adverse impacts to the floodplain or wetland.

Property Acquisition-Allowable Costs Make sure that your acquisition only includes allowable costs! These are different for each type of eligible project
