Astro 6531: Astrophysical Fluid Dynamics Spring 2013 Instructor: Prof. Dong Lai Time & Room: T Th 10:10-11:25 am, SSB 622 Almost all of the baryonic Universe is fluid, and the study of how these fluids move is central to astrophysics. This course will survey key topics of fluid dynamics (including MHD, and some plasma physics if time permits) in the various astrophysical contexts (from planet formation to galaxy clusters). It is intended for both theory and observational/experimental graduate students and well-prepared undergraduate seniors. No previous exposure to fluid dynamics is required.
