E ain know nottin bout no man yet, bot e been gage fa marry a man name Joseph, wa been one ob King David kin people.

  3. Verse 28 • And the angel came in unto her, and said: Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women. • Dat angel come to Mary say, “How ya da do, Mary? De Lawd done bless ya fa true! E da trabel longide ya!”

  4. Verse 29 • And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. • Wen Mary yeh wa de angel say, e beena trouble tommuch, an e study e head ta try fa figga wa dat mean.

  5. Verse 30 • And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. • De angel tell um say, “Mus dohn be scaid, Mary, cause God heppy wid ya.”

  6. Verse 31 • And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. • Ya gwine be wid chile. Ya gwine hab son. Mus gim name Jedus.

  7. Verse 32 • He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David. • E gwine be great. Dey gwine call um de Son ob de Mos High God. An de Lawd God gwine mek um king fa rule jes like e ole people leada King David.

  8. Verse 34 • Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? • Mary aks de angel say, “A ain neba been wid no man. So hoccome a gwine habe chile?”

  9. Verse 35 (part) • And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Glost shall come upon thee… • De angel ansa um, “De Holy Sperit gwine come ta ya…”

  10. Verse 38 • And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. • Mary tell um say, “A ready fa saab de Lawd. A ready fa saab um jes like ya done say. “ Den de angel gone lef um.

  11. Verse 39 • And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country, with haste, into a city of Juda. • Soon atta dat, Mary gir ready. E mek hace and gone ta a town een Judea een de hill country.

  12. Verse 41 • And it came to pass th at when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost • Wen Lizzybet yeh Mary boice, e baby eenside um jomp roun. And Lizzybet been full op wid de Holy Sperit.

  13. Verse 57 • Now Elizabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered,and she brought forth a son. • De time come fa Lizzybet fa go een, an e hab son.

  14. Verse 58 • And her neighbors and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her. • E neighba dem an e kin yeh say de Lawd done hab mussy pon Lizzybet. E gim chile. An all dem rejaice wid um.
