Zip Zap Zop Everyone’s in a circle, one person starts by sending a clap while saying, “zip” to the person to their right, as the game continues you add in, “zap”, which changes the direction of the clap, after that you add, “zop” which sends the clap across the circle.
What are you doing? • Everyone’s in a circle • First person starts in the center of the circle • They do something, “crazy” until the person on their right asks, “what are you doing?” • The person in the middle replies with something crazy different from what they’re actually doing. Ex. “walking down the stairs” • Then you would imitate what they said until the person to your right says “what are you doing?”
Word Ball • Everyone’s in a circle • One person has a ball • They make eye contact with someone in the circle • They toss the ball to the person and say the first word on their mind • The person who catches the ball does the same • Continues from person to person in the circle
Honey, do you love me? • Everyone is in a circle • One person is ‘it’ • They walk up to a random person in the circle • They say “Honey, do you love me?” in the strangest fashion that they can • The person that is asked, then has to say “Honey I love you, but I just can’t smile” with a straight face • If they laugh they’re ‘it’ • If they don’t laugh the person that was originally ‘it’ is still ‘it’
Catch a Story Have a ball or (better) a beanbag. Begin a story. Throw it to the person who must continue the story. This is better than dragging around the circle and shy people can get rid of the story after only one word. A variation on this is “fortunately, unfortunately”. Each person must add a sentence, changing the sentence of the main character.
I’m going hunting You play this game in a circle and your memory counts. One person in the circle will start the game off by saying, I’m going hunting and I’m taking an arrow. The next person will have to repeat what the person next to him said and then add something new from the next letter in the alphabet. I’m going hunting and I’m taking an arrow and a bow. You keep this going around the circle until one person cannot remember what he is taking. That person is out and you see if the next person can complete the phrase. You don’t necessarily have to choose something that you would normally take hunting, it can be funny. You can also modify this game to a specific topic.
