  5. Ideas • What was a main idea or theme in the novel? • Which characters showed this theme? • What events showed the theme? • Quote? Do this for 3 different ideas

  6. Why is an idea important? Inside the story • The idea might affect people in the story. (Judging people by their gender made Kahu ............) • It might affect outcomes in the novel. (If Koro hadn’t judged Kahu by her gender......) • You can learn something from it. (This taught me that judging people by their gender instead of their talents leads to.........) • It might be something everybody needs to think about. (This is important in out society because....) Try to mention both Outside the story
